Prophet by RJ Larson with GIVEAWAY!!!!
My Thoughts:
When the Infinite wants Ela to become his prophet, she doesn't understand why. She's also a little scared, because prophets always have a short life. She accepts, and along with her little sister, Tzana, who has an aging disease, she sets off on a journey.
Unfortunately, I just wasn't feeling it with this one. I think it was mostly "The Infinite". I know this story is fiction, but he's written so close to the real God that I felt like words were being put into His mouth. I didn't feel anything was wrong with what was said, but I still really struggled with that part, and I was uncomfortable with it. I know I'm a little weird with that, but I'm having to learn to listen to my reading comfort level more these days.
Honestly, I have seen nothing but praise for Prophet so far, so I KNOW one of you would really enjoy it!
I encourage you to look at some of the reviews at Goodreads to see if this one would be something up your alley more so than mine.
